Compostable SnackingIf you ever go grocery shopping, take a second look at the snack aisle. You'll notice that chips are usually packaged in plastic or materials that you usually don't throw into the recycling bin after you finish the finger licking crumbs at the bottom of the bag. Sunchips has solved that problem with their new compostable packaging.
After you throw the bag away, it won't just sit in a landfill for the rest of eternity. Instead, the bags decompose within 8 weeks.

Can't afford a hybrid car? How about some biodiesel gas?Did you know that the gas in your car pollutes the air? Dumb question. You probably already knew that. But did you know that there is an alternative to petroleum-based diesel that you normally pump into your car every week? Biodiesel is made of animal fat and waste oil, which can usually be found from restaurants. Biodiesel produces 60% LESS fuel emission into the air than regular diesel. Biodiesel is not yet available everywhere throughout the country, but it also is not hard to find. Keep in mind biodiesel is still not perfected, but is definitely already making a huge mark and impact in the efforts to go green.
